survivor logo?

I had my submandibular salivary gland remove because i had a lump on it and the biopsy showed i had a mucoepidermoid carcinoma. So now I will be starting radiation next week as a precautionary measure to help ensure it does not return. I have been trying to find some sort of logo , like the pink ribbon for breast cancer, to get a tattoo of once my radiation is complete as a symbol of surviving all of this, and as a reminder that although i need to be monitored for 5 years i will ultimately survive long past that. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

    Welcome, Millroy.

    Several of us were discussing tattoos this past summer here. I believe the ribbon you're looking for is ivory and maroon - some sites say it's white and red. You can click on my picture here to go to my profile, then click on "Expressions", and you'll see a few drafts of potential tatoos. You can also go to "Search CSN Members" at the top right of this page, and search on Skiffen16 for more pictures. I don't recall whether or not anyone else posted pics. I don't think any of us that were discussing tattoos has gotten one yet. Many of the pics we posted were of some type of phoenix, with a ribbon.

    Hope things go well during your radiation regime - keep us updated.

    Go to my expressions page like mentioned(you have to go through a few fishing photos, my favorite mode of fun and relaxation)...

    The FAITH one is the one that I'm leaning toward...other than chaning the ribbon color from pink I think.

    Welcome to our group Millroy.

    What no tatts yet? I was expecting at least one of you's to have one by now! I wanna see one of the gang with a pic of their tatto. (unless Skiff gets one below the waist, that I don't need to see).

    Thanks for your help. I found a ribbon and put the pic on my expressions page. I have my tattoo guy working on it for me. Plan on getting it done along with the next tattoo I was planning as soon as radiation is over.

    Escape from New York - what a movie!!! Filmed in St. Louis right after I got out of college. (I guess our ghettos looked more realistic than New York's). Almost went down and tried out for an extra when they were filming.

    I'll buy ya the 6-pack.

    I'm still to chicken to get
    I'm still to chicken to get one, but I really still want a small Renaissance style cross by my left hip bone, but I really love John's pheonix and I carry that picture with me every day. :)

    not into tatoos. on my last day of radiation treatment the cancer center gave me a t-shirt. so now i can say been there and got the t-shirt. but I would buy one or have one made if need be, would need to know what to put on it.
