My new grandbaby that is due to arrive in May is a boy! Josh called earlier with the news. Him and his wife didn't care what sex the baby would be and were just thrilled to see the baby moving. He said they watched him moving his little arms and legs and said it was just awesome. Anyways...just thought I'd share the good news.
Love...Sue

    Oh, "Boy"
Now you know to buy everything in blue. Remember the old days people would buy the wrong color and when the baby was born they'd say Oh, sh@t now I got to take all this stuff back so I hope I can find the reciepts. Congratulations!!!!

    Aww congratulations
So much to look forward to. I am happy for you. My daughter had her twins last May so they are 6 months old now. It was such an event and blessing. Made me fight like crazy to get well and strong so I could help her. It worked and I am. Mary

    Energy coming back - slowly
Yes, I am wondering when my energy will come back and it feels like never. Then I realize I think too much about it and move on and do more than I can - it is like treading waters, ha. You know, we bought 3 in. memory foam mattress topper and it is so comfortable that it made me stay in bed longer and really relax which is good for me because I have the tendency not to rest sufficiently as I should!

Having a new grand boy is really a big milestone for you - since your other ones are much older. Enjoy those moments!

    Hugs,
    Liz

    ENERGY LEVELS
    Liz,
So glad your mattress does it for you. To be honest I could have slept just as comfortable on on a bed of nails while going thru treatment. I was so wore out after the 5th and 6th treatment I felt like I wasn't going to make it sometimes. I am over 2 months out of my last treatment now and still not back to 100% but getting closer everyday. Those chemicals really take it out of us more than we think. You do not realize how much until your body starts to build itself back up. It will get there, just do not try to rush it. John(FNHL-1-4A-5/10)(remission)

    Sleeping...
    John and Liz,
It seems my most restless time is in the evening,(aches, pains, etc), so I've been falling asleep in my comfy recliner and then Steve transfers me to bed when he gets up at 4:00 a.m for work. I tried falling asleep in the bed, but I toss and turn so much from my body acheing and the stupid leg cramps that I was constantly waking him up. It's not un-common for me to run a warm bath in the wee hours of the morning and sit there and soak for half an hour just to releive the leg cramps. I got out yesterday with my oldest son and we made it to lunch and 2 little hole in the wall stores(specialty shops, no crowds) but as we started for another store the wall came down and I told him I needed to go home. It took all of my strength once we got home to just climb the stairs from the street and then flop in my recliner until Steve got home. When my legs start to go weak and the fatigue sets in, the only place I want to be is at home. My son was really set back by how quickly I tired and it was really hard for him to deal with. He's so use to me being active that it scared him when I said I couldn't move another step and needed to get home. He showed up this morning at 8:00 with a Latte and breakfast from Mickey D's. If I can get one little chore done in a day, then I feel like it's been a "good" day...ha! I know it will get better and I'm so thankful to have all of you to remind me that the fatigue is normal. I love you all...Sue (FNHL-2-3A-6/10)

    fatigue
    Sue,
When I read your post yesterday I said to myself uh oh. I had a feeling that was going to happen. No warning at all and boom you are weak as a kitten. It happened to me exactly the same way when I was up in Md not long after my 5th round back in Sept. It hit me so hard with no real warning. I could hardly walk without feeling I was going to fall down. It took a few days to get my strenght back. What little bit of strenght I had to begin with that is. You have to take it easy no matter what or how you feel at the moment. It will ZAP you all at once. Just think how you do not have the strenght you once had and how heavy everything seems now when you go to pick it up. You are running on empty and will be for a couple of more months. It will all come back. You just have to really pace yourself very slowly.Other than that I am glad you had a good shopping day out with your son. Take care,John(FNHL-1-4A-5/10).
