Hello Everyone....
I don't post on here too often, but find myself diligently logging on each day to read several of the posts...
I find it very encouraging to me to say the least because we all have something in common...
Not long ago "Bruin" shared his fears with us and I could relate so well to what he was feeling as he wrote that...and then several of you offered him encouragement and stories of hope...that was helpful to me too...
I talk to people at work and friends, but unless they ever had cancer or have someone close to them that does, it just isn't the same for me...
I know people mean well, but so many times people will follow up the conversation with they knew someone else who had the same thing and died...I DON'T WANT TO HEAR THAT!!!
Just finished another round of folfiri today and have my "little friend" the 5fu pump at my side as I write...should only be three more rounds to go...
In closing, I want to thank this site and all of you...
I lose hope it seems like twice a day and gain it back three times a day as I refuse to go to bed without hope for another day...!!!

I am really glad you have found this forum helpful. I sure find it helpful too. Your dog is very cute + I bet he/she helps you get through this too. You are right about people who don't have cancer not understanding/being insensitive etc. That is why I love it here - people get it. Take good care!0 -

Don’t ever loose hope for one damned minute of your day. Take it from a “crazy” old coot. (I like my new nick name – for a while it was just old coot) Loss of hope ain’t worth it and it just is a waist of the energy that you need to beat the crap out of cancer.
This crap can be beat. The bad part is it is a ruff ride. We can make it a little better here by making the trip together. Were all in this crap together.
No matter what the question is, someone here has the answer. They have taught me a bunch. But if they start talking about grazing in the yard, I would back off that post.

I know how you feel
It was just a few days ago that I thought about giving up. Then I started reading some of the posts and I felt my spirits rise. Take 5 or 10 minutes or whatever it takes for a "pity party" and then move on. I cried all day today, with joy. I know things will get better.0 -

It's good to see a post from you. I'm glad that the boards are doing you well. Keep up the good spirits and please don't be a stranger.
PS: Kerry ... you never know what people might have growing in their backyards! LOL
my beau's mom had a 7 foot (!) pot plant in her back yard. I saw the picture...she didn't know what it was, and kept watering it because she thought it was pretty....
Better still, his parents were social friends of the police....
ROFLMAO!!!
Hugs, Kathi0
