Just wanted to let everyone know I’m still here, and I’m still proud of all of you.

I’m very proud of everyone here, and particularly of people like Sundanceh who continues to be an inspiration to all of us. I try to post every now and then just to let others know that there is hope for all of us. If I can make it so can you. So, never give up hope. Keep on fighting, like Sundanceh and the rest of the wonderful people here. Just to give you a little background on myself. I had a resection on May, 2009, when they removed a tumor that was 8.5 x 7.5 x 2.5 cm. The surgeon said it was the size of an orange, and that caused me considerable anxiety at the time. Yet, even though it was so large it didn’t go through the wall and I was staged at IIA. BTW, does anyone know the average size of colon tumors? Anyway, for awhile I was angry that this had happened to me. I knew that for the tumor to have been that large it must have been growing for a long time, and I kept asking myself why it wasn’t detected by the CT scans I had, or by the Barium Enema. I was really angry that the doctors kept telling me I was fine. Then I read some of the stories the rest of you have posted and that brought me back into balance and made me realize I had a lot to be grateful for. So, all of you have helped me and without a doubt are helping others by sharing your stories. As I have said in this post and other posts, I’m very proud of all of you. Keep fighting the good fight.

    Hi!
Happy to hear from you! Hope you're still doing well! I remember your nick, but not all of your story. Did you have chemo? Don't be a stranger!

    *hugs*

    Yes I had chemo
Landed in the hospital twice becasue of toxic reactions and the doc finally said: "Someone is trying to tell us something. It's time to stop the chemo." Also, had a perforated colon induced by the chemo and so it was a rough ride. Stopped after 18 our of 24 treatments with a number of one and two month interruptons. My last CT was clear. Also a cliff hanger when I have them. Hope everything is going well with you. Thanks for the *hug* Gail and here a some *hugs* back.

    Must have chemo brain
Just noticed all the typos I made in my previous messages. As a writer, I hate making typos, but I seem to make more than ever since the chemo. Oh well...

    Hi there,
    It's really good

    Hi there,

It's really good to hear from you. I too was misdiagnosed for at least 2 years, mine ended up with 2 obstructions, emergency surgery and the largest was the size of a lemon (whats with the fruit) haha. Stage IIIc. Anyway, like you I had to let go of the circumstances and get on with the fighting. I'm happy to be here, I'm different but that's ok, it's good to be alive. I remember when you first posted. Hope everything is going well for you.

    Big Hugs,
    Debbie
