Hi everyone!! I am a new member if this site. My husband was diagnosed with esophageal cancer last October at the age of 38. He has been cancer free since last January 6th!! Almost a full year! I looked at the site frequently at that time and just came across it tonight! Wanted to encourage those of you still going through the rough stages. He has had a blessed recovery and has gained weight back since surgery. He has amazed the doctors with his recovery and eats anything and everything. :) I am thankful everyday that he is still here with me! My heart breaks when I see some posts and I pray God is with you during these tough times!

God bless you all,
Erlene

    Thanks for the good news!!!!!
    Erlene,

Thanks very much for your posting. I am glad your husband is doing well. We love to hear success stories here. I had Ivor Lewis surgery about a year ago and through God’s grace I am doing well and so far have clear scans.

We see a lot of bad news and suffering here; so it is great to hear of positive outcomes.

    Best Regards,

Life may not be the party we hoped for, but while we are here we might as well dance!
