Thank you all!!
Just wanted to thank all of you for the support and advice and love and prayers all of you have given me and my family this past year. It has been a year full of ups and downs but now instead of walking around with an NG tube hanging out of my nose and not being able to swallow, I am doing the Thanksgiving dinner for my family. I would never have believed there would be an end to it all and I would be able to do this. For you newbies or just out of surgery, there is an end to that tunnel and it will come that you can live a normal life. My prayers are said daily for all of you here. Thanks again for helping so much. Hope all of you have a beautiful Thanksgiving day. love,

I am so happy for you
Donna, I am so very happy that you are having a normal Thanksgiving and cooking for your family. You definitely deserve it. I thank you for welcoming me to this site and including my husband and I in your daily prayers.
Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy for you!
Donna,
Don't remember seeing your posts before. But I'm so happy that you could enjoy Thanksgiving. This was the first one without my husband and it was very hard not to have him with us. But there's no choice, and have to adjust to my new life. Hope you keep doing good!

Donna, You have been an
Donna,
You have been an inspiration to all of us --- each time one of us succeeds and beats back the beast all of us share in your victory and gain hope. Perhaps one day we can all see a day with a breakthrough for the treatment of this cancer. Till then we all take the daily gifts we are granted and thank God for the blessings we have every day no matter how small. This disease really humbles you and makes the small stuff that used to make me crazy seem so unimportant.
Lots of hugs,

Donna, So glad it was a good Thanksgiving. I'm sure your family was just glowing seeing you doing so well, cooking, and happy. I know we never even gave swallowing or eating a second thought before esophageal cancer, and now it is in our daily thoughts! All of the smells and tastes of the holiday were probably extra special to you this year. Hope you participated in finishing up the leftovers! Have a wonderful weekend! Linda0
