a little hello and have a great holiday
I spoke with Lori and she wanted me to post something. I know that I havent been around much. I read and it just takes too much out of me to post. But today I am. I know that life must go on and Ive been doing well. So heres an update.
Yesterday was a year ago since my dad went for his scope to find out that he had a tumor and need surgery ASAP. Yesterday was a rough day for us. In december he had his surgery and completed chemo then just after 5 short months he was gone. I know that god only takes the best. Im still upset that he took my dad away from me so soon but I know that he had a reason why he took him so soon.
This holiday will be hard not only is his birthday coming up on december 4th, he also had surgery on dec 6th. Its just the time of year for us. But I did and will continue to take lori's advice and talk about him and remember him during this time. We remember the funny things about him, the things he enjoyed the most.
Today we are going to my Aunt's house for dinner, my mother is already there as she spent the nite cause she didnt wanna be alone. Mom finally went back to work. Only part time 4 hours a day. She has her ups and downs. Days are easy, some are so hard for her. It just feels like a life time ago since she last spoke with him/touched him, hugged him. But with meds she is doing okay.
This sunday we are attending a service at church to remember all the loved ones that passed away in the year. We will also place a bulb on the tree to remember our loved one. I am glad and scared to attend. Mix of emotions but I will hang in there.
My kids are doing great. Bria the baby who was just born right before all of this with my dad happened turned 1. Ava who is pap's lil girl asks about him all the time. She will be 3 soon. I thought she would just kinda forget but nope she talks about him and cry's for him alot. My oldest Emma just misses him so much. She loved sitting with him and talking to him. Ava miss's calling him daily every morning at work. But im glad they didnt forget and they remember him.
I will continue to pray for all of your loved ones and my you all cherish this holiday and the ones to come with your loved ones.
God bless
Tina

Hi Tina,
So glad you gave us an update. The first holidays are always the worst but you sound like you have many loving memories of your Dad. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving. You could have escaped the tears but then you would have missed the dance as the old song goes. take care,

Thanks for sharing ---
Tina,
Thanks for sharing --- keeping our loved ones in our memories and hearts keeps them close to us. Memories are important and stories for your little ones so they know the kind, loving and wonderful man your father was and how proud he would be of them.
Lots of love,
Cindy0
