Liver mets from colon-what treatment is best
My dad had rectal cancer 3 years ago and it has now spread to the liver. Doctors were going to cut off the parts of the liver with the tumors and freeze the tumors they couldn't cut off. They couldn't do it because they said my dad has cirrhosis of the liver and more tumors than they thought. Now we are going to see a doctor that does the chemo-ablation and another doctor that does the injection of beads into the liver. I don't know anything about these procedures. Any input would be great.

Hi lisa you could probably find more infor on the colorectal forum. But as far as procedures for liver tumors those sound right on as far treatment options! Cirrhosis does make things more complicated. Best of luck How old is your dad?

Yes he was diagnosed with hepatocellular liver cancer which is a form of primary liver cancer. He has never drank, smoke, isnt obese, ect, ect! He did all the right things in life and still became ill. It is sooooo hard and stressful. I dont thing there has been one day since march that I havent been sick over this! I really hope everything turns out ok I think there are quite a few colorectal cancer patients stage 4 with mets that are doing well years out. Best of luck! Try to stay strong for eachother0 -
