Strange Sensation in Throat
Lately I have noticed a new sensation and was wondering if anyone here ever felt something similar. I have been getting a "flutter" in my throat that lasts several seconds up to a minute. It occurs just below my adams apple and to the left in the vicinity of my scar.
If you've ever felt the nerve in your eye jump or twitch this is exactly how it feels.
When it flutters you can put your finger to it and feel it jump.
I have an appt to see my Oncologist on monday and I will tell him all about it.
I have been burping a bit so part of me thinks acid reflux but I've never felt anything like it before. Of course there is a part of me that thinks big old juicy primary tumor.
Thanks in advance for any thoughts you may have on this.

Nerve damage from the surgery?
I had a 3 cm lymph node cut out of my neck, which is not exactly a neck dissection, but did cause some slicing and dicing. This was about eight months ago, and I still get twinges and twitches and pains in the area where it was removed. I'm thinking there is some nerve damage, doing its best to heal up now.
Let us know what the doctor says.

I too think it is just a nerve you are feeling, but like you I would check with the Oncal man just to make sure.
Take care my friend and enjoy what you can of the holiday, I am still in a lot of pain but I am not going to let it spoil my time with my family and friends0 -

Yeah, I'm leaning towards nerve but who knows.
I'm with you Hondo. I'm not going to let a little discomfort and uncertainty keep me from enjoying the holidays with my family.
As far as that pain goes Hondo, I will be praying for you.0 -

Firstly, the Doctor put the scope down my throat and said NED!
Secondly, he said acid reflux and he gave me a bunch of advice. Cutting coffee is gonna hurt.
Thanks for the advice and encouragement.0 -

Hey, I'll bet that "acid reflux" didn't sound too bad at all after hearing "NED". Congrats. Celebration time again.0 -
