Chat with Representative Dan Boren (D-OK) LIVE on Dec. 1

Written by Catherine Knowles.
We are very pleased to announce that Representative Dan Boren (D-OK) will be joining us on our December Grassroots Advocate Chat to talk about a new bill he will be introducing early next year that will provide for new funding for colorectal cancer research.
Register today to talk with Rep. Boren about this exciting new bill.
Like so many advocates, Rep. Boren’s commitment to the fight against colorectal cancer is personal:
“As with many Oklahomans, my family unfortunately has experienced the pain and fear of losing a loved one to cancer. Eleven years ago I lost my mother, Janna, to colon cancer. While serving in Congress, I have made it a priority to raise awareness about colorectal cancer and to author legislation that increases citizens’ opportunities for early detention and screening for this highly preventable disease.”
We hope you will be able to join us on December 1 to talk with Rep. Boren about his new colorectal cancer bill and to also hear from the Coalition’s Policy Director, Catherine Knowles, about our other legislative priorities and the outlook for the 112th Congress.
We recognize that December 1 is the first night of Hanukkah, and apologize to anyone who won’t be able to join the chat live. But, even if you can’t join us live you can still hear what Rep. Boren has to say – we will be posting a recording of the call on our website.
And please be sure to mark your calendars for our January Grassroots Advocate Chat – Wednesday Jan. 19 at 8PM (eastern).
