On A/C, my eyes and nose ran
On A/C, my eyes and nose ran like they were spigots turned on. OTC moisturing eye drops worked great. There was one that seemed to work better than the others but don't remember which it was. I thought that I still had it in the med cabinet but checked and it's not there. (Should have been thrown out anyway as it's been more than a year since I used it.)

Yes
Jean - my eyes were very watery and were often glued shut when I woke up in the morning. I thought I had pink-eye but came to learn that it was a result of the chemo (A/C and Taxol). I read on here that the drippy nose was because there are no longer any hairs in our noses to keep the mucous inside the nose, so it all dripped out. Made perfect sense. Too bad the doctors never told us that.

pretty common
My eyes and nose were watery & runny the whole time I was on AC. Over the counter allergy eye drops worked ok for me, since I still don't have any nose hairs my nose is still running constantly! It's a pretty common side effect, and my eye problems got better when I stopped having AC chemo.
*hugs*

watery eyes are improved with moisturizing eye drops. seems that it should be the opposite but it may have something to do with over production. It really helped me to use the eye drops.0 -
Mine did it
during taxol, for almost the whole treatment time. Believe it our not, they're actually dry and eye drops will help. I had to see an opthamologist and after tests that was his determination and surprisingly it worked.
Hope this helps.

That is how I describe the ongoing problem with my eyes. I had 4 rounds of A/C and 12 rounds of Taxotere. My last chemo was on August 4th. My eyes water unless I am sleeping. I finally went to an opthamologist to see if there was anything really wrong with my eyes. He assured me that this was a "well known side effect of Taxotere." He did, however, give me a prescription for some eye drops - Lotemax. Well, I must say that they have done no good whatsoever. I will go back for a recheck and see what he has to say. Hopefully this problem will go away eventually.0 -
My eyes watered and my nose
My eyes watered and my nose ran non stop through my chemo - 4 A/C and 12 Taxol. I too went to the eye doctor to make sure I didn't have a blocked tear duct or something. It is 6 weeks now since my last Taxol and the watery eyes have improved, but still have the runny nose! I have a tissue in my hand at all times! Hopefully that will stop too once the hair in my nose grows back.0
