hi guys and thanks for responding. So the hospital was very very quiet. I got a really nice tech....she looked at the bladder first and then the uterus.....she could see a large fibroid in the uterus and she said sometimes these will push on the bladder. I wanted her of course to say.....nope no sign of cancer but of course she could not. So now we wait to hear what the radiologist says and I won't get that until he sends those results to my General Practioner....
hugs
maggie....ps I had drunk 4 bottles of water and it seemed to be enough.....luckily no peed pants....hahahah

glad THAT is over!
You really are lucky to be able to have that done on a saturday, when the hospital isn't so busy! I pray for good results for you. I know what you mean about the technician giving us a little hint or something! Although, back when I had a recurrence on my right ovary, he really was giving me a clue when he kept asking me if I was sure there wasn't any way I could be pregnant! The results of that read was "... a huge mass rising from the deep pelvis..." .

Sounds Good so far Maggie
Don't you just hate it when you are right there and you just want them to do the analysis while you watch over their shoulder .... but no, you have to go home and wait. Things like that just don't sit right with me and my impatient self. Having a large fibroid can be just like having a pregnancy in regard to putting pressure on your bladder and causing discomfort. Let's hope that is what's going on.0 -
Wait and then wait some more
Glad you didn't have too much of a wait with all that water on board.
I guess the tec was staying in the bounds of her profession by not giving a firm diagnosis.
From what I know, fibroids are usually non-cancerous. Here is a web site that has lots more info about them and treatments.
http://www.uterine-fibroids.org/fibroid_tumor.htm
Hope you don't have to wait too long to get the final word and get things taken care of.
Hugs,
Marie who loves kitties0 -

Mags...I am thinking of you and sending out massive 'sparks'. Fibroids suck but much better than cancer. Hoping that is all it is....just fibroids.

fiberous tumor
Several years ago my wife had a tumor on her ovary. They had her drink a lot of water too. When they removed the tumor it was the size of a grapefruit but just a big fiberous bag of water- no cancer. Hope yours is a bag of water too. You know the government can't keep a secret but our doctors sure can. What the big deal who tells us the good news or bad news. Always wait for the doctor! I have yet to meet one yet who is good at breaking bad news. What is it a billing thing? Good luck Lou0 -

Prayers, good hopes, and well wishes to you.

at all. I had several large fibroids that finally resulted in a hysterectomy a few years ago. But that's exactly what happened to me. They were pressing on both the bladder and rectum wreaking all kinds of havoc in both places. Once the tumors were gone so were all the other symptoms!

it was a recurrence, 2 years after my initial diagnosis in 2004. When we finally got in for surgery, the tumor on my right ovary was the size of a soccer ball . They also took everything else with it, including the cervix, along with most of my omentum, my appendix and some miscellaneous abdominal tissue. My initial diagnosis was stage IIIB, with 2 of 25 nodes positive for cancer. Had the resection, followed by 6 months of chemo. Followed that with a raw diet, juicing, etc, which my cancer seemed to love, evidenced by the recurrence in 2006 .
