Thank you for the ornament!

Actually I don't know who I am thanking yet for it says do not open until the holidays. For someone who makes a game out of finding her Christmas gifts before the actual day this is extremely difficult (my husband does not like this game :-) - but I will do it. Thank you to my ornament angel ahead of time!

    When my girl gets hers,
    When my girl gets hers, which should be Monday, I hope she opens it. I didn't say "not to" so perhaps the little girl in her will rip it apart with enthusiasm and enjoy :)

    Okay, I am going to give my
    Okay, I am going to give my ornament buddy a heads up. I will be opening mine the moment it arrives. There I said it. I won't, can't, dont' want to wait. I want to hold, cherish, enjoy and love my ornament from the second it arrives. So if you want it to be opened at the last possible moment don't mail it early. LOL It will join my beautiful shoe that Chen sent me last year. She is such a darling. We were going through a lot of turmoil with our house going into foreclosure and just lots of life stuff going on so I opted to not do the exchange. Didn't even know what our address would be. I so enjoyed hearing everyone receiving and loving there ornaments and lived quite vicariously through the others. I commented on how wonderful this exchange was and how much I was enjoying the excitement of all those that were participating. Chen, the dearheart that she is wrote and asked if she could have my address and send me one. How could I refuse? To say I was tickled, honored and just plain felt loved by a kindred spirit did more than she will ever know to bring joy into my heart at a time when I really needed a boost. So this year, I am participating and will be sending my ornament soon and I want my buddy to open it immediately and enjoy it at once. I can understand others wanting their buddies to wait but I just know I won't be able to. This exchange is so much fun and brings so much to each of us. It's having a little tangible something from someone who is linked to our hearts. Chen, you are embody the spirit of the season. Thank you for then, now and always.

    Just when do the holidays start, anyway?????
    Someone else mentioned that their ornament said not to open it until the holidays~ my response to that was that the holidays are subjective! If YOUR heart says it is the holiday season...OPEN YOUR GIFT! :-) Ok, that's what I would do, but that's only me!

    Stef....you are without a doubt one of the nicest, most generous women I have had the pleasure of getting to know. I thank you so much for your kind words~ I remember last year all too well, and I was afraid you wouldn't give me your address! Obviously, we are both happy you decided to! :-) The exchange was absolutley lovely~ I wouldn't have missed it for the world!

    I'm with you on that Chen.
    I'm with you on that Chen. Holidays start from the heart and for some of us they are on right now with the gathering of family and friends for Thanksgiving or Thanks Taking. And thank you for the compliment, I am blushing and grateful for friends like you and all my family on this board.

    well, this is just my opinion, but. . .
    why would you wait until christmas to open a christmas ornament??? i plan to start putting up my christmas tree next weekend (9 foot tall, very wide tree with blue led lights and all penguin ornaments) as soon as i get my package, i am opening it up and hanging the ornament on the tree. so there!

    I dunno...maybe some ornaments arrived sooo early that the sender thought it best to write something about the Holidays on it! I said from the beginning that I don't make any rules here! LOL
    But here is my announcement:

    It is as of this moment officially the Holiday Season! Open everything as it arrives! Rejoice! Let the festivities begin!

    I for one would not be able to wait until Christmas to open mine! Thanks, Chen, for setting this up. I was not part of this last year, having only joined in March, but am so glad that we are sending love to our sisters!

    OK, I'll apologize upfront, right here, right now...

    When I receive my package from a pink CSN warrior sister - IF it's marked "Do Not Open 'Til..." So sorry. Will not follow directions. Will definitely tear it open!

    We are socked in by snow, ice and wind up here in the NW. I am holed up, baking christmas cookies and getting them in the freezer.
    Oh, I'm excited....I will badger the post man when he passes by......:)

    and I love it~ I was so surprised when the ups guy delivered it, or maybe the fed ex guy...it is beautiful. I described it under sea60's post. She had received the ornament i sent her!
    It is a beautiful spun glass angel inside a glass ball etched with stars, and she lights up different colors.
