fat on chemoron50 said:G'day lori
I'm glad I did not have some of the modern chemos(the old ones did more than enough damage).Every second week I took a drug called levamisole and it was vile and I mean puke for hours vile. The only food I could stand was instant rolled oats made on milk with a hearty dollop of honey. I had the dubious distinction of being one of the few to get fat on chemo.:) Ron.
with the addition of the steroids for nausea management, I got fat on chemo as well!

Lori it's so good to see your spirits are up. Thank's for the fun, smiles, and inspiration.

One of the best attitudes and sense of humor! Love your posts but sorry you are going through this. My husband actually had a designated private room at chemo due to his mobility issues, so we could close the door if we wanted to (I often did so I could work while he got his infusion) But as a college basketball fan during March madness I would watch the games. One game was so close I kept yelling at the TV, the nurses all came running meds in hand only to find out it was me not the patient!
I learned to control myself after that

Charger games. Drive my dog nuts cause I wake her up when she's napping. Thank goodness I have infusions on Mondy mornings when there aren't any games on.0 -

Thankfully my oncologist is letting me skip a week so that I can enjoy Thanksgiving plus it turned into a nice three weeks in between chemo's...good luck
You are lucky to skip the week. Enjoy the turkey.
Hey, I'm not trying to pick you up of anything ... but, you look really familiar as does your name. Are you from the L.A. area?0
