Definitely need to call the oncologist
You definitely need to call the oncologist. He'll probably send him in for an ultrasound of his legs.
I had a PE last winter, and went off Coumadin after having my port removed in June.
I'm back on chemo (with a new port) and on 1mg/day of Coumadin in hopes of prevention this time. I'm calling my oncologist right now about my concern of another PE. My pain is probably from my Neulasta shot and just lasting longer than usual - but I just don't feel right, and the pain is different than other cycles. Last year when that happened, it was a PE. Thanks for your post - it is getting me off my butt to call right now too. I shouldn't mess around with this. And your husband shouldn't either.0 -

Yes took him in( him fighting ALL the way) and I was right and so were you all... Blood clots in his leg so now back on coumadin and he is NOT happy... Thanks for all the advice. He thinks I jump to everything as cancer each time but I remember how bad the clots in his lungs were last year, he seems to have forgotten.

So very glad that you got him seen and that he is back on meds.
When he gets grouchy about the meds just remind him that they are better than a stroke or a heart attack!
You are a good nurse and loving wife Mel.

Sometimes you just have to take the bull by the horns and do what has to be done for their own good. I'm so glad that you caught things in time.0 -

Good job staying on top of things as we all know what blood clots can do. I got one from the iv they put in my neck during my liver surgery this summer. Now I have to give myself shots every night for 6 months to prevent it from coming back and to shrink it to nothing.0
