Anybody have one or know someone who's used one?

I saw my Lymphedemologist this morning and he's going to order one for me. He's never before ordered/used one, so he's going to get the factory Rep. to come. Until I can get it, I'm back to seeing him twice a week for MLD massage.

He's also ordering me 2 sleeves that are designed to go over my night sleeve to get better compression - I have to work with to see rather 1 or 2 work better. Getting 3 new day gloves with slight changes in measurements.

Thoughts/Experiences?

Just got one ordered this week!
Susan--I have been dealing with swelling in my breast/trunk and have been seeing a lymphedema specialist. They used the FlexiTouch on me at each visit and it did help. She got a letter from my surgeon and wrote a letter herself to my insurance company. I really didn't think they'd approve it (after all they've shelled out this year for me)--it's $12,000!!! But, they did. I'm so thankful. We're also using Kinesio tape on the breast and trunk which has done wonders. If you haven't explored this avenue, I heartily recommend it. It looks like athletic tape, but it's function is to lift the skin so that the fluid underneath can move more freely to lymph nodes that work--such as the ones near the spine, neck and groin--even to the other armpit. It's quite amazing.

    Hope this helps.

    Hugs, Renee

    'Kinesio tape' has not been
'Kinesio tape' has not been mentioned.

My care is through VA so when my 'guy' tells me that he can get something fo me - I can only believe it.

Being VA, he is much more esperienced with male 'issues' than 'women' issues but we're working through 'stuff'
