I have learned that you find who your true friends are and who really cares for you when you get onto a cancer journey. It does warm the heart. Just as you all have for me here. It is better then croaking quickly with a heart attack and never knowing how folks really felt about you.

I got this statement in an email from guy that used to work for the investment folks we use. He heard via the grapevine about my situation.

He wrote;

“Kerry there must be some reason that someone's keeping you around.
I figure heaven can't handle you and the devil is afraid you'll take over!!!!”

Does he know me or what!!!!!!

Kerry

    Life and our relationships are to valuable to give up on.
    We did not tell friends and some family about my first round of cancer 3 years ago. Some had told other friends that, "God must have punished you." or "Maybe your enviroment had something to do with your cancer."

    Now with round two with cancer. I had two more surgeries and 8 days each in the hospital. Chemo treatments every two weeks and wearing a medical pump for two days. Business projects that got delayed. I could not hide the cancer any more.

    Most of my friends have rallied around me. Several friends from my past have come back in our lives to support me. Some family have really came through with support and well wishes. My employees have really rallied for me and some joined me on a cancer walk. Several clients supported my cancer walk commitment. Several clients told me of their own journey with cancer. (I never told my clients I had cancer. One found out through a friend and the well wishes started coming.) I am truly blessed with all of the support.

    Fight the good Fight! Cancer is a bun kicker, and life and our relationships are to valuable to give up on.

    Have Fun! mike

    I was told....
    "Only the good die young, so you, Kathi, should live a long, long life!!!"

    Thanks for the giggle!
