So...
I honestly never thought I'd be writing in one of these boards. I'm 20 years old, I'm very petite...and I love food. I know I sound normal right? Think again. From the time I was 17 I would vomit everything I ever ate up, and no I do not have an eating disease. I actually love my body weight and I'm very comfortable with who I am. Anyways, it grew worse in the next two years. Everything that I would eat would either get stuck in my throat or want to come right back up. My "doctors" never treated me for anything because they never thought it was serious enough. I'm now 20 years old and as I write this my stomach is in more pain then it's ever been in. In the last 5 months even the simplest of foods like an apple make me curl up in bed and cry from the pain. I've lost weight to the point that I can barely fit into my clothes and yet I'm constantly bloated. I also have a hiatal hernia that they just found in July.
I seriously don't know what to do. I miss eating. No one seems to understand the constant pain I'm in or the struggle I constantly have with food.
Please tell me I'm not the only one going though this.

see a specialist
I think you need to see a specialist, and I agree, start with a gastroenterologist. I had chronic heartburn for years before I was diagnosed with stage 4 stomach cancer at age 36. My family doctor put me on prilosec and it masked the symptoms of the cancer until the tumor had grown very large and started causing eating problems and internal bleeding. We are way to young for this crap...see someone who knows what to look for. Best wishes to you.0
