John (JR)
I have lost track of everyone on the board. My focus has been on John. He isn't doing good at all. He isn't eating much at all. Hospice is coming once a week. I feel so helpless. We still talk and watch TV together. I do know it won't be long.
All of you keep up the fight. You all are in my heart because you have helped me so much. Thanks a bunch.

Keep strengthens but take care of you too , I will pray for you and JR Today.
Lots of Hugs!.
You no it's crazy he only takes ibprofen. He says he isn't in that much pain. I hope it remains that way. The nurse said some people don't have much pain others have a lot.
John hates to take any medication. I can't believe he did so much Chemo and did well on it for a long time until the last one. Just couldn't do it anymore. I do understand. Still hard!0 -

I wish I had words that could ease YOUR pain. I know this has got to be the hardest thing ever! I think of you guys every day and pray for you too. Call me if you want to talk.... anytime of the day or night.... or just call and we will cry together... Give JR a big hug for me... Love you both....

Hi Paula:
I am so sorry you are going thru this. You are honoring John's request of "no more", and as a caregiver that is difficult to accept. You are so much stronger than you realize in honoring his wishes. Use the time you have with John just doing everyday things together, talking, laughing, remembering your time together.
I think of you often.
Take care - Tina0 -
Paula & John
You're both in my thoughts. I know it must not be easy at all for either of you. I can understand things in a way from both sides. My 91 yr old Mom is going to be starting hospice care at some point in the very near future. Her kidneys are failing. She's home and with those who love her. I get tired of treatments too sometimes.
As much as it stinks, we sometimes have to go through rough times.
Just know that so many of us are thinking of you both.

Sorry he isn't doing well. Please tell him that we are all thinking of him. Your top priority is spending time with him. This board will always be here so don't worry about us. Thanks for checking in.

I'm sending you big hugs. I'm so sorry you are coming close to the time of saying goodbye. I am happy to hear he doesn't have much pain though - at least you don't have to watch him suffer so badly as some go through. I still can't imagine being in your shoes. I'm glad you have hospice to help you. I hope you have other friends and family to give you the support you need right now too. Cherish the time you have left with JR - that comes first before anything else right now.0 -
