Quick update so you can pray!!

Doctor's office called and CTscan showed POSSIBLE blood clot in pelvic area. So as soon as Jerry gets in from hunting (Icalled him right away and I was shopping) we are on our way to James Cancer Center in Columbus, Ohio.

Thanks for your prayers.

Love,
Libby

Best of Luck...I had exactly the same thing happen 10 days post surgery. I have been on Lovenox daily injections...now transitioning to Coumadin. its a creepy feeling as mine was "possible" also. they are actually leaning more towards pressure on the iliac vein from a lymphocele (evident on the CT scan) but they still treat it as a blood clot because even if pressure it could lead to a clot. The next step may be draining the lymphocele if it continues to give me problems (I have had some pain deep in my hip and lower back). Best of luck...I was actually handling the cancer DX and getting ready for Chemo better than when they said "possible clot" because of the emergency and urgency of any clot problems. however catching it early as it appears we both did is like dodging a bullet.
Please keep us informed. I haven't had any side effects from the Lovenox other than the hassle of daily injections. And I found that icing the injection site for a few minutes makes the injection almost painfree.
    Good luck!

    No clot!!
    Teal Warriors,

Had ultra sound on groin to ankles both sides and no blood clot anywhere. PTL! I had to go to that hospital because IF there had been a blood clot they would have kept me.

I asked the tech what possibly happened (beside there being many prayers) he said when I had the barium drink for the CTscan that sometimes the barium does not fill in the areas and there could be a bubble or space that looks suspicious.

Better to check all out. Thanks so much for your prayers. So grateful that is was not bad news!!

That is where they think i
That is where they think i may have one. Actually they can occur just about anywhere just more frequently in the legs. Pelvic ones can be caused by swelling or pressure such as post surgery lymphoceles in pelvic area. That is what they think is causing my restricted flow so they treat it with thinners as a prevention as clots could form there. Hopefully its not longer than a few months when my body has totally recovered from surgery and internal swelling subsides in total.
