Miss it
I miss being in the Corp. I to join you in saluting our troops. Without them we would be lost.0 -

Semper Fi, Skiffin. Since our beloved Corps was founded in Tun Tavern, I find it appropriate to toast the birthday with a few good beers. For a few months this summer, I could not have any beer, and I am sure enjoying some now.
I'll down one in honor myself.....

Salute to all the past, present and future Marines. And Happy Veteran's Day tomorrow to all the vets out there! Thanks for serving and protecting!!

...to all who have served. I have benefited greatly by having Marines at my back to hold me up as I have held Mark up. I remember driving in to Mark's first big surgery thinking I have a marine on my side. That is Marine from these boards. It was very reassuring. I am personally indebted to the marines.

My nephew was a troubled young lad with no apparent aim in life -- until he joined the Marines.
He completed basic at Parris Island and is enrolled in mortar school. Since there isn't much call for firing mortars stateside, I fully expect he'll be deployed.
We'll worry about him, of course.
But damn, I'm proud of him.

Marine Corps Birthday
Happy Birthday Marines and Thank you to all the Veterans of all branches that served or are serving our Country.
Today I spent several hours at a location in Philly that hosts the Marine Corps Birthday each year. I caught up with a Marine that I was in Boot Camp with in 66 and another Marine I was with in Vietnam during TET of 68 and also TET of 69.
Slow Hand Salute

Just wondering, Jim, if your nephew is for hire for a few minutes. See, I've got this neighbor........eh, better not.
