Update on SallyB
more mobile than most folks. I have never driven the truck AND 5th wheel, so that has been a concern for me.
Wonderful friends came to San Antonio and moved me to the Rio Grande Valley where we have spent winters for the past 9 years.
I realize that every day is hard right now, so my decision was to go to a place where it is warm, I have many friends, and it's only an hour by plane to visit my children and grandchildren. This seemed to be the best decision for me. So, here I am, parked in Pharr TX in the RV park where most of my friends spend the winter. I will decide what to do in May, closer to May. I may be here permanently and travel during the hotter months, or stay here and spend more time in the pool.
There are many activities so I will keep busy and so many of Jim's friends are here if I need a "handyman" for something.
I miss him every day and always will, but know he is preparing my place for me. It's strange to be alone when I have been
"half" for 53 years. One of the advantages of his fighting such a good fight, was that we had time to say goodbye in every way we could. He said many times that he had confidence that I would be fine and now I have the feeling that I MUST be
so I don't disappoint him! There are, and probably will be for a long time, moments of immense sorrow and actual pain, and I just have to work through that. I want all my friends here to know I will do that and come back occasionally to report my progress (or lack thereof)
We have walked a terrible journey together and I pray every day for all on this board, that you find healing, that you find joy and that you find peace.
God Bless You

hello
Dear Sally
I so admire your courage and I can well imagine the loss you feel. I pray that you have a safe journey in life and that you can find peace and happiness without your Jim.
Someday we all face this at one time or another and with the help of family and friends you will survive.
God Bless you

Sally,
I will still be praying for your comfort and peace as you miss Jim like crazy. I happy that you will be around people this winter that can surround you with happy memories of him.
Blessings,
Deb
I still hope he is tailgating for the Huskers in heaven.0 -
Sally,
I continue to keep
Sally,
I continue to keep you in my thoughts and prayers. I think of you and Jim often, as I consider my mom and dad and what they are facing - they will be married 55 years in May if he makes it that long. I see my mother's pain in her voice and face as she can't think about him not being there. I am sure you walk into a room and expect to see him sitting in his favorite chair or sitting at the table. May the Lord comfort you and the many wonderful memories of a full life bring you comfort as you try to get through these difficult days. I am glad you have family and friends and a warm place to spend the winter.
Hugs and love,
Cindy0
