Hi. I am a 2 year survivor of lung cancer. Also BRCA1 mutation. recent mammo and ultra sound reads hyperechoic are at the 6 oclock position measures3x2x3mm, also found was a cyst with one small line through it 3x3x5mm. and a hypoechoic region at 9 oclock measures 7x2x5mm. I am a little worried about the hyperechoic one. BI-RADS 0 MRI recommended. I see a specialist in Phila. But radiologist at home read report. I had an MRI in Feb. Does anyone know if the hyperechoic one lends itself more to cancer? I'm not sure if they are just being extremely careful because of my history or If this is something to really look at. Any help would be appreciated.

    Don't know but
I am saying prayers that everything turns out okay. Too much tech language for me. I would ask my doctor or get another opinion but doctors don't like to be pinned down without all test results. Sorry I couldn't be of any help.

    Wishing you the best ((Hugs))

    Welcome to the site
I'm sorry that I don't understand the terms you have used either. I hope someone here might, but, your oncologist is the best source to have this explained.

    Good luck,

    Congratulatons on your 2 yrs
Congratulatons on your 2 yrs survival of lung cancer. I'm not familiar with the term hyperechoic but am glad your medical team is being cautious. I would try to squeeze more info from them or check the internet and have them confirm your findings. My best to you and I hope it's nothing too serious.

I am sorry for what you are
I am sorry for what you are going through. I do not understand the Tech language either. But maybe you can find some answers on the left of this page in the blue box Cancer.org Under cancer information. There is a wealth of information there. I wish you all the luck in this world. And I will take a look too. Take care Kay
