Hi,
I found this site looking for support groups of childhood cancer surviviors. I am 19 and had stage 4 NHL when I was 2. Since I was 11 I have experinced many episodes of anxiety attacks and PTSD over the years. I also have difficulty in school particulary in math. I was just curious if anyone else has had these issues as well. Sometimes it feels like your the only one when people around you havent gone through what we have.
Sincerely,
Erin

Erin, I am sorry that you have been on this journey at such a young age. No one understands really unless you have walked this path. Anxiety is normal. Maybe your Dr would suggest somethihng to calm your nerves when you need it. I take a very low dosage of effexor. It really helps. Good luck and God Bless you. I would bet because of the things you have been through taht you are much more mature and have your priorities straight. Keep up the good fight.0 -
Welcome
Hi Erin,
I am 60, but I have a grandaughter close to your age(20). I'm so sorry you've had to deal with cancer from such a young age. I get bouts of anxiety from time to time, especially if I dwell on thinking about having cancer. I just try to keep busy and think positive thoughts, but it can be very hard to do at times. Ask your doctor if there is anything he can suggest for your anxiety, and keep posting here with the group. Some of us are alot older than you, but we would still enjoy hearing from you and helping you out when you need someone to talk with. The medical community has come so far with cancer treatments and I have a feeling we will only see better and better treatments and even cures. Keep the faith! Love...Sue (FNHL-2-3A-6/10)0
