Didn't really want to post this now, but ...I thought maybe some good news might give us all a littl
Here's the thing. My heart is breaking for Tina and Froggy, and Jayne,...and all of the others who are fighting actively. I'm really careful about what I post, because, Lord knows, I don't want to make anyone feel worse. Then, I put myself in the shoes of women newly diagnosed who come here and read about recurrences. (I include myself in that category, since I certainly don't feel like a survivor yet.) At any rate, I had my three month check up last week, and my four month gyn/onc visit today. My CA125 dropped to 12 three months after chemo (it was 16) and my gyn/onc said I'm normal. (Clearly, he's not a psychiatrist!)
Anyway, while part of me is very relieved, another part of my heart weeps. I hold hope with great care, knowing what a fragile thing it is. Ned is fickle and flits from partner to partner, but even if he leaves me 3 months from now, I hold onto the hope that he will return. In the meantime, I go to the gym, go to work, grow hair and take every opportunity to tell the people I care about how very much they mean to me.
To my sisters who are in active treatment, my prayers and healing thoughts are heading your way. To my new sisters, know that every day brings new information about our disease and new awareness and research. There is always Hope.
Hugs.
Leesa

I am so happy for you.
I don't think anyone here would feel anything but joy for you. You should not feel bad that you are NED. I know how fleeting it can be because although I currently am, we all know it can change so fast. It fills me with joy after reading your posts and to know that our prayers are being answered even if it is not always what we want and for everyone.
So congrats while you dance with NED and I hope its a long, forever dance.

Great news
Dear Leesa,
I'm been waiting to hear your results and I couldn't be more pleased. We all walk that tightrope with sharing good news. We want to shout to the rooftops, but remember others who are struggling. I believe that good results need to aired for (unfortunately) we have new members all the time who are terrified with the stats they see and need to have hope that there are treatments that can help them. Dance on, oh Normal One!

Thankyou
I am fairly new to this sight, I've also read these sites and have gotten scared on (what if?) I try to do things as I did before when life was normal, but it always in the back of my mind. I do know that I look at things differently and I hope anybody new will look at what you said as a life of hope . I'm not very good about putting things in writing, hopefully this made since. I'm also glad your count is down my 3 month checkup is coming in Nov.
Keep smiling!

Great news
Hey Leesa,
You should never feel badly about posting good news, although I know where you're coming from. When Bonnie was so ill, it didn't seem right to be happy. I just love to read about those few who have the original treatment and never recurr. I hope you are one of them. We need hope.

Leesa:
Post away and congrats. We all need to hear everything related to this monster. Know exactly how you feel. I received NED in Sept, my dx was May/2009. Every day is another gift. I remember the John Wayne quote from "Crazy,Sexy Cancer Tips" book---Courage is being scared to death but saddling up anyway. Loved that book!

Hey Leesa
I really appreciate your consideration for myself and the other ladies here who have only had a short remission - but hey! we are still here. This new treatment - doxil - may be the one that works for me.
However, I am so pleased to hear your latest CA125 results are only 12 and wow that is fantastic. I am so pleased for you as I have been with you throughout your journey here on these board and I know the emotional roller coaster you have been on. Now its your turn for some well deserved peace and happiness and long may it continue.
Lots love Tina xx0 -

Thank you Tina! It does seem like we appear in groups on here. Kind of like multiple births!
Sending out healing thoughts and love, love, love!

Good News
The Good news is very hopeful, keep it up. Prayers going to those who have not had good news. There is so much bad news, we need to hear all the good there is. Linda0 -
Hi Dear Leesa,
I am right
Hi Dear Leesa,
I am right there with you (currently @ 6 from 3 after about 3 and 1/2 months)....
Sigh after having 3 recurrences in almost 4 years I too do the NED happy dance while I can. Although I am a true believer in not claiming I have cancer (even though I do), I am not foolish in knowing @ stage iv I will never totally be completely done with this monster.
I constantly keep all my sisters in prayer about they're battles they are currently undergoing knowing all too well that I will be right back there, because it's definitely now if but when I'll have to actively fight the fight again.
Much love,

Leesa,
I'm very happy about your good news. And I think we'd all agree that it's absolutely appropriate to post it hear so everyone can share.
