    of GREAT people of the board. Kathi, you inspire me everyday, not only with what you have gone through, but how you live your life today. It truly lights up my life. I totally appreciate how you are on this board helping us when you can just be off enjoying life. Honestly, I appreciate you every day!     I was in a funk today, feeling guilty about 'sticking mom in a home' (It's BETTER than the house I live in!!!).

    Mostly, I was meaning it light, but a small piece, well....sigh...I feel so little now, with my small troubles...

    Sally Field (I am a registered look-alike for her) put it well "You like me! You really, really LIKE me!"

    My family was on me about my decision to transfer Mom into a retirement community. Even tho she is safer there, and, as of tonight, has already perked up (as I KNEW she would!), I was definately down earlier...

    Thank you, dearheart, for all of your wonderful words!!!!

    Today was a wierd day, the day I transfered my mom to a retirement community. "Ripping her out of her home of 50 years!" according to my beau's son...sigh...I had a bad case of the guilties...

    BUT, as of this evening, after just 12 hours, my mom is saying that it was the BEST decision she ever made!!! We spent the last 3 days moving all of her things, and setting everything up, so all she had to do today was step in and start living (she has all of her favorite furniture, pictures on the walls, nightie laid out on the bed....). She has her own place, 3 full meals and 2 snacks every day, and a group of people to keep her happy, whatever she needs!!!

    I am now smiling from ear to ear!!!

    I have actually wondered often if I didn't post for a week or so, if there would be any comments like, "Anybody know what's going on with Gail?" "Where's that tootsie? Hope she's okay." Doubt it!

    I'm sorry about the family stuff. Life doesn't stop just because we get cancer. I'm glad that your mom is feeling better about her move and that she is safe.
