The skinny on it
Way to go! I'm glad you have someone looking out for your interests.
As for the colonoscopy, different doctors order different types of prep, but basically they all make you go to the bathroom very, very often. It's icky, and you'll feel drained by it, but it's a necessity. They can't find what they can't see! The prep is the worst part, and the procedure is no biggie. Just make sure you have someone with you to drive you home, because you'll be "loopy."
Good luck with it!
*hugs*

great news!
That's awesome that you'll be getting the surgery you've wanted! The colonoscopy will be nothing, as they say the prep is the worst. You'll be doing the prep again for the surgery, so look at this as a trial run . Good luck, I'm so happy for you! Sounds like Stanford is really coming through for you!

That is really great news. The colonoscopy, well, after all you have been through, no biggie. Just hold your nose and drink it and it will be over before you know it. Worst part, you are hungry and can't eat anything so get an early appointment if you can.

Happy for you
So very glad that you have found the right docs and the right place.
As all have said prep is the worst, the rest is easy since you will have a light anesthetic.
Hope all goes well.

Yeah!!!
I am so happy for you!!! You will do great and feel great when it is all over! The colonoscopy is easy. I took the prep in pill form and it was not bad at all. I would definitley recommend it if you have a hard time drinking the prep. I'll be praying for you.

I am so glad that going in through the back door got you where you wanted to be. This is such great news!
Winer Marie,
Really great news about the surgery. The colonoscopy is a breeze,as you have been informed already, the prep is no fun, but very doable. Just drink that junk quickly and flavor it with crystal light lemonade if the give you the gallon jug of yuck for prep.

HerniaNana b said:Awesome
Wonderful news! I needed help when I got home. Please don't rush your healing or you may give yourself a hernia!! I know!!
I'll do my best not to rush it. Seems like quite a few get hernia's from the surgery, you'd think they'd just put the mesh in to prevent worry of hernia's when they did the surgery.0
