Newest Update On My Mom Ginny As of 10/15/10
I wanted to update all of you on our visit to the leg specialist today. He is a great dr. He is very informative and thorough. Mom and I have high respect for him. Mom will be going in to have an angiogram done on her legs on Wednesday, 10/13/10. With this procedure the drs will see where the blockages are and put stents in to open the blocked arteries up. She will also be having a catherization of her heart done. Here the drs will check the leaking heart valve and see if there are any blockages in her heart. The heart procedure will be being done at a later date. We would appreciate your continued support and prayers. We greatly appreciated all of you for doing so. I will keep you updated as things progress.
Love,
Tina Ginny and Family

Positive thoughts and prayers coming your way
Tina,
Thanks for the update on your mom. I remember when you originally posted about her heart issues and peripheral artery disease several weeks back, it seemed like a very long time to mid October, when she was going to see the specialist. I am happy we are finally here and she is doing well.
We will be thinking about her and you and praying everything goes well, particularly this Wednesday.
Best Regards,
Paul Adams

From my heart to your mom's heart. I am sending her many heart beats so hers can rest a little. Wouldn't it be great if we could just plug into someone and do some of the things their body needs help with.
Your mom will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Hello All
Sorry this is a couple of days late, our internet has been down. Mom had the peripheral angiogram done to her legs and a heart catheretization on Wednesday. We were thinking leg surgery first and then heart, but the result of the tests proved us wrong! The peripheral angiogram showed she has a 90% blockage in her aorta artery. The placement of this blockage is very near her kidneys. Therefore, they can not put a stent in. The dr said this would be a very high risk. For now we are going to leave this area alone, if in the future, she develops more problems from this, the dr will perform surgery. All of the other arteries in her legs were fine. Now, on to her heart. She has 3 blockages in her heart, plus the leaking heart valve. She will be needing bypass surgery. At the time of the bypass surgery they will also replace the leaking heart valve. We have an appointment with the heart surgeon on November 10th. The bypass surgery will be scheduled at that time. We thank you all from the bottom of our hearts for your continued thoughts and prayers. You all mean a lot to us. We consider you all friends and even family, although we have never met! I will update you after our consultation appointment on November 10. Mom is handling this very well. She has a very positive attitude, and much faith in God.

Tina, Thanks for the update. Tell Ginny she will remain in my thoughts and prayers. I beleive that a positive attitude and faith in God is what gives us the comfort to face each moment as we go through various health problems.
Please keep letting us know how mom is doing.
Prayers are with you all,
Sandra0
