Rib steaks, chuck roasts,
Rib steaks, chuck roasts, ground beef.
Hubby loves his beef so probably 3 - 4 days a week most weeks. Other days are split with pork, chicken or very occasionally fish - can't get decent fresh fish here.
Most comes from the Commissary ('reg.' beef) and some from a rancher friend (grass raised - not technically 'organic' as the pastures are not 'certified organic')0 -
Ground beef. Usually once a
Ground beef. Usually once a few days before the chemo blood test to boost my numbers. Then once again a few days after chemo treatment, again to boost my numbers. I usually just go to a restaurant for a burger, no one else in the family eats red meat.
Hope this helps.

Horrible Diet
I eat fast food. I hate to cook and when I do it's grocery store regular red meat. If diet causes cancer (along with diet cola) I know why I'm here.

Sorry
The cuts are steaks, roasts, ground beef and as for the fast food, whatever beaks and feet they throw in.
I probably have meat at least one meal per day.

OK
Like Marge said, if fast food and diet soda is what did it, then i too know why i'm here. I love chicken so I eat a lot of that, in salad, fried, roasted, picataded, parmaseaned i'll eat it. My CBC level is low and I try to bring my iron up with red meat, maybe once or twice a week - usually a burger from the cafe in my office building. I love ribs and can eat racks of them, pork roasts, ham. Anything but fish (actually if it comes out of the water i won't eat it - LOL). I purchase my meat at the grocery. My Dad was a butcher, so i wasn't aware meat came in styrofoam and plastic wrap until I was an adult! I do have a MOM's and I think there is a Whole Foods somewhere near me, but I don't know if I've ever had organic beef (unles that's what Dad brought home).

Well I am a diet soda junkie too, not as bad as I use to be but more than I should drink. As for beef I am not a big beef eater when I do eat it it is usually a burger. I would say I eat beef about once every 2 weeks. I buy ground beef (leanest kind) at the regular grocery store so it is not organic. Hope this helps. God Bless

like Jimbo's, Whole Foods, independents. Costs more, of course.
My husband got really into this -- took away our coffee maker cause the plastic lining has chemicals, only grass fed beef, omega 3 eggs, can't remember if it's farm fed salmon or wild, but there's a certain kind he won't buy.
I'm soooo lucky he cooks. And shops. Left to my own devices I'd stand at the kitchen sink eating toast!!

Beef
I ate and continue to eat beef multiple times a week (sometimes for lunch and dinner). No restrictions. All cuts: steak, hamburger, roasts, etc. (even cheap Steak-Ums). I have had surgery and chemo no rads.0 -
All kinds
I continue to eat burgers, steaks, etc., although I have tried to reduce the number of times a week I eat beef, probably now about 3-4 times a week (was 6-7). As others have noted, I'm married, and my hubby loves his beef, and other not-so-good-for-you choices. He does more of the cooking than I do, so I don't want to complain. When we go out, or when I'm on my own for cooking duty, I try to choose other meats instead, like fish or chicken. I also have really cut back on processed meats, because I've heard that those in particular aren't good for you, but again, it's hard to cut them out totally - hubby LOVES bacon.
Even if it were totally up to me, I'm sure I would still eat some beef as well as pork. It's one of the things I get cravings for (usually hamburgers or BBQ) from time to time, so it would be difficult for me to cut it out totally. While I like fish, I'm not a huge fan of chicken. I would get tired of just eating fish and/or chicken all the time.
If I'm doing the shopping, I will try to go for Organic or grass-fed meats, but I also have a budget that sometimes comes into play, and sometimes I choose what's on sale.0 -
very little
I ate very little beef during treatment, I was raised vege, so meat isn't a nessesity for me. I have a little steak once in awhile. Only organic. Alison0 -
I've cut back, but looks like it didn't matter to me....webbwife50 said:very little

I eat very little meat with about 80% of my plate being veges, usually fresh. Hoped to see a difference, but seems like it didn't work since my cancer came back anyways....0 -
Very seldom
I probably average once every 3 weeks or so, and then it's usually ground beef cooked with something else. When I was growing up, we had meat and potatoes nearly every night but I've lost the taste for beef. Much prefer fish or seafood, pork or chicken - even those only 2-3 times a week.

My beef answers
I buy New York steaks which we eat once a week. I by and cook a roast about once a month. I usually get them at Costco. Other than the occasional stop at Mickey D's we eat chicken and turkey. I use ground turkey in place of ground beef.
Hope your friend passes her class.
