FYI Free Course @ MD Anderson, 10/16
I received the following email today from the Gynecological Cancer Foundation (GCF)
GCF is pleased to announce an upcoming Endometrial and Other Uterine Cancers Survivors Course! The course will be held Saturday, October 16, 2010, 9:00 am - 4:00 pm in Houston, TX at the MD Anderson Cancer Center. GCF is offering this FREE full day course for all cancer survivors, friends, family members and others who are interested in hearing from the leading U.S. experts. These experts will share new information about endometrial cancer, and time for questions and answers, as well as networking with other survivors, will be provided. Registration is required.
Please visit the GCF Web Site to register today! http://www.wcn.org/courses/

I was going to copy this e-mail, too. I wish I was close enough to go to the course. It would be interested to see what they present. Hope someone is able to attend and share the information with us.
I sure do wish I could attend but it would be a bit expensive for me to fly from NY plus hotel. Looking forward to hearing about it from some who can attend. I'm also going to contact them to see if any of the presentations are going to be available through videostreaming or on DVD.

I am going to try and attend. I have an appointment this Wed at M. D. Anderson. I will try and get some information to post. Thanks for posting this, hopeful.
I definitely can't as live in St Louis but I'd be so grateful if someone from our group here would and relay the good information. We can never have enough information in our bas
gs to keep us afloat.
Thanks again...happy Tuesday!

I am trying to convince hubby to drive me to Houston on Saturday for the convention. I am afraid hunting season has started and his urge to hunt down and kill Bambi's daddy is strong. Last year when I was staying in Houston for my radiation during hunting season in November I joked that if I died during hunting season he would have me frozen and have the funeral after the season ended.
Seriously, this is when I am kicking myself for being afraid to drive on the interstate. I would love to go on Saturday. I limit myself needlessly.0 -

I'm not sure how to make this a clicky, but if you cut & paste this link into your browser, it should show you the course schedule and speakers.

I'm very excited about attending and hope to bring back lots of good info to share with you all. And by the way, almost all programs at MD Anderson are open to everyone, regardless of where you received your treatment. (I was not treated there, but have been warmly invited to take advantage of their programs)
