Femara switch

Hi all,

Due to the horrendous side effects I had from femara, my onc. switched me to tamoxifen. I will pray that I can tolerate this. Some of you asked me to post after my dr. visit, so that is why I am. He also told me that at 35% of women simply can not tolerate the side effects. I was on it for 6 months and kept thinking it would get better, which never happened.

So,.... please, if you are suffering, please know that I do feel better and there are other answers. What a journey!

    I am so sorry that you were unable to tolerate the femara and am hoping and praying that tamoxifen will be the ticket for you!

    Hi Jean!

    I also started off on the AI drugs (tried Femara and then Arimidex)and lasted a little over a year. Last October I switched to Tamoxifen and while it's not great either for me, it's definitely more doable. I hope it works even better for you.
