I am very sorry for your loss. Your dear sister Zena was your friend and inspiration. You wrote a beautiful story about victory of spirit, grace, and kindness. Your words made me know and love Zena too.
Sending you a big hug
I agree with New Flower. What you wrote made me know more about Zena to realize what an amazing sister she was.
Your love for her shows with what you wrote.
I am so sorry and am sending you and her family lots of prayers.

I can really relate
Bella Luna,
I am so sad that you lost a friend. It's hard to loose people to cancer and not feel terrified. For me
it was. We lost someone in a support I frequented and I was beside myself. And I didn't even know
that person as well as you knew Zena. What a wonderful friendship yours was.
I don't know how to console you or what to say to make you feel better. I just wish that in the near
future we will stop loosing such precious women to BC.
Hugs,

And so it goes...the circle continues....
It's so very hard to say goodbye to someone. I've had 19 patient partners (newly dx'ed people), and have had to learn, with some of them, how to say it. I always remember, as you have in this post, the wonderful side of their lives, and the greatness that they all showed.
But, there is also a 'give back'. You will, at some point, more than likely be asked to assume her role with someone who is frightened and confused. Remembering her kind and courageous attitude will help you help others...
We are all part of a cirle, and each of us plays a role. Some go on before us, lighting our way...
Hugs, Kathi0 -

She sounds like an incredibale woman and I'm glad you had a chance to meet her. I love her saying bout sister from another mother and I also think we meet people that we are supposed to in life ( no accident ). Strangers are simply angels that we haven't met yet.
God bless you and Zena.
