Ayse... follow your hearts
Ayse... follow your hearts desire. You are entitled to whatever happiness springs up in your life. Regardless of circumstances, you deserve to be happy in a place that makes your heart smile! Keep us posted.
I feel the makings of a story full of unlimited possibilities coming on!

You shall all receive a post card from NYC
Hahaha,
thank you for all your encouraging and wise words.
I will take it slow, give myself 6 months to realize this dream.
By then I should be done entirely with my treatment, extra bonus.
I am opening a whole new chapter in my life and am excited and
looking forward to all the excitement to come. In my mind every
day could be the day we find the cure, sure as heck want to be
around for that. Can you imagine that?
Hugs,

And I adore youchenheart said:Ayse~ I absolutely adore
Ayse~ I absolutely adore you!!! I knew I already did, but you have topped it! You got up from dinner and walked away when the conversation turned ugly, homophobic and racist???? Hats off to you!!! I am so proud of you~ many squirm privately, ignore, or otherwise pretend things are just not important. Way, way, way back in the day, there was a great movie made about that very subject. It is called Gentlemen's Agreement and it starred Gregory Peck. It was a "gentlemen's agreement" to let things slide in public and not make waves in the face of intolerance and prejudice.
You are my new heroine! Oh yeah...pack your bags sister! You need to be back among the ethnically diverse, the sights and smells of "foreign" restaurants, subways, baseball of the NY variety, and all things NYC! Go see the leaves change, see the seasons morph into a winter wonderland, and renew your already amazing spirit! I see ice skating in Central Park in your future! :-)
Hugs,
Chen♥
I firmly believe in show me your friends and I tell you who you are. And in
line with that, I am very proud of my pink friends on here. I am proud of your
strength and courage.
Chen, I wanted to ask you one more thing where did you go to swim with dolphins?
That's something I always wanted to do.
Thanks,

or New Jersey so you can move back and follow your dream. Unfortunately, having employer-based health system prevents us from spontaneous decisions. You have to have a job! Especially with pre-existing conditions.
When you move I will come visit you there. I am missing New York and still have my friends there. I lived 2 years in Brooklyn and 5 in New Jersey. I understand what multicultural environment means and why you feel comfortable there.
