Prayers needed for fallen bc sister - thank you.

This afternoon I learned that a woman I met in person for the first time last month had died (not from bc). While people die every day she was special to me. I work with her daughter and last year when I mentioned that I was diagnosed with bc she told me that her mom had it over 25 years ago. I learned more about all this woman had gone through in her bc journey and she was like an idol to me (even though I had not even met her at the time).

It saddens me that she is gone. I am grateful that she dealt with surgeries, treatments, and medications many years ago so that I could start my bc journey knowing what to expect and what was available for treatment and medications.

Please say a prayer for Audrey - one of the original bc warriors.

Rest in peace and comfort now.

    Wolfi thanks for posting on such an inspiring person. Always grateful to the people that went before, and paved the way. My friend was one of the first to do AC while everyone else was doing CMF. I am sorry you lost your friend, and will keep her and you in my prayers.

    sorry that you lost your friend and idol, your inspiration and mentor. Her light touched lives of many people who have been continuing fights and victories keeping memories alive.

    start to imagine what the treatments must have been like back then. As
    intrusive and disruptive the treatment can be today, I am sure it is almost
    nothing compared to back then. And I am therefore really grateful to all
    the warriors that have paved the road for us so far.

    I am very sorry about your loss Wolfi.

    Guaranteed permanent hair loss....

    I chatted with a 30 year survivor. She wears a wig because of it. But, again, her attitude...'I did what was necessary to survive!'
