    No
I was put under light sedation not general for all of my biopsies. I don't remember anything nor did I feel anything but is much easier on you then general. As to other tests I don't know enough about your situation to make an educated comment. I had my tonsils out when I was 21, well before any Lymphoma, but I know there are others here who have had tonsil involvement. Good luck. Mary

I think it would depend on
I think it would depend on where the tumor is. I had 2 biopsies on my neck, with no medication. the first was uncomfortable but OK, the 2nd was not so easy. I would say drugs are your friend, there's no sense hurting if you don't have to. The biopsy is part of staging, they need to know what type of cells they're dealing with.
Good luck with the testing, let us know how you're doing. Linda

    Knock me "OUT"...ha!
I'm a total pansy when it comes to pain, so first words out of my mouth when it comes to "any" surgical procedure is "I wanna be knocked out"...thank you very much! I had a large node removed from my groin for biopsy and was put completely under. Was "NOT" put out for the BMB test and still have nightmares from it...seriously.. that procedure hurt like hell! Next time I have to get it done I've been assured that I will be sedated..if not...it aint gonna be happenin! No pain no gain?...pure "hogwash" in my humble opinion! No pain="happy camper" for this gal!...ha!....Love...Sue

    You and me
Me either Sue, knock my a## out. I am ready to tell my surgeon wedneday to take his time, look well, and make sure I do NOT wake up.

Good luck with the testing. This is the worst part of dealing with lymphoma. The waiting is torture.

Let us know how you do.

    I think
I think I would go for a 3rd opinion especially since they are so on the opposite ends of the scale. If you have doubts, go for the 3rd opinion. Ease your mind.
