Blue Angels and chemo #32
Today was a good day. No, today was a great day. We went out on our boat and watched the Blue Angels do their show. It was incredible. We took our daughters out and anchored right by the base. The water was beautiful and the turtles were everywhere! The flying was awesome!
That being said, **** has chemo #32 on Tuesday. It is his last scheduled chemo, # 8 for this round. Then he will have a scan in about 3 weeks. I am trying to just enjoy all the days he is feeling good and go with it.
It has been a tough 4 weeks as we have lost 3 neighbors this month all dads to kids between the ages of 7 and 25. Two of the men, healthy guys died suddenly and unexpectedly of heart attacks and 1 died yesterday from lung cancer. I tell you, we really do not know the future at all. I keep that in mind and try to focus on all good things.
I am going to take a break from the board until scan time. I want to live the next 3 weeks without thinking about cancer. We'll see. I don't want any of you to think I am not responding to your posts as I care about you all so much. I think about you throughout my day, everyday. You are all amazing people. I'll check back once tomorrow and then see you again in a few weeks.
Aloha,
Kathleen

Kathleen,
I 100% understand taking a break. We all need to from time to time. Sounds loke you guys had a great day out on the water. I remember fondly the time spent on the water with my mom and dad, truly good times. I hope Dicks scan delivers nothing but good news, will be keeping you guys in my prayers for just that. Now go enjoy some more good days with **** and the kids.
