another sad update
I will miss her so much, I have lost two of my best friends within a week of each other.
I think Ed was calling her, they were very very close, she always thought of him as her son.
Unfortunately she was in the hospital last week when we had his funeral.
God Bless them both and I hope they are together now.
Love
Linda
William, I just saw your post to me under another blog. thanks again my friend, you are always there tellng me the right thing to do. I want you to know I spent the entire day yesterday holding my mothers hand, giving her a backrub telling her that I loved her and yes, I was still holding her hand when she took her last breath. I am so glad I went to the hospital, I don't think I ever would of forgiven myself if I wasn't there with her. My entire family was there. She is in a better place now, now she can breath all she wants.

Linda,
No words could describe your week. I'm praying right now that God is wrapping his arms around you like a warm blanket.
Peace be with you,

At a loss for words
I'm very glad to hear you were able to express your love to your mom, and she wasn't alone as she left her temporary home for her eternal home. I wish there were something profound that I could say to ease your sorrow, but there isn't. I can only say I am very sorry for your loss.
God Bless you and your family at this difficult time.

YOU ARE A STRONG PERSON/you definately have danced in the rain
Linda,
I am sorry to hear of your mother's passing, I was always told that GOD DOESN'T PUT MORE ON YOUR PLATE THAN YOU CAN HANDLE. Loosing two of your best friends in one week has to be hard. You are an amazing woman and you have had one HECK of a year. You are like me you are ready for 2011 to come on. Yes ED was calling your mother home, they missed each other, but so glad you were strong enough to go sit with her. Please keep all the good memories of her and ED close to your heart, and know you will get through this hurdle. Like I past friend always said LIFE ISN'T ABOUT WAITING FOR A STORM TO PASS ITS LEARNING HOW TO DANCE IN THE RAIN,
you certainly have done both got through the storm and danced in the rain.
Please know we are all here for you HEAD UP, stay strong and move forward.
Hugs

I am really sorry to hear
I am really sorry to hear about your mom. My mom died several years ago. I still miss her to this day .Just know that your mom is always with you in your heart.
Take care and God bless you and your family .0 -
My heart is with you.
Linda,
I am new to this site but have been reading all that you have endured this last year. You and your daughter have been through a great deal. Cancer is not an easy enemy to fight.
I went through part of what you are going through. My husband is now fighting esophageal cancer and my mom died from lung cancer a few years ago. It is hard when both best friends have been called home. As you said, your mom loved Ed as much as her blood son. They are together now, at peace now. I also know when my mom died I had another best friend, my daughter. Because we had each other, we made it through the hardest part. With time, our memories made us laugh and cry at the same time. You will always have them with you. In your heart and soul. When I am sad, I hug my daughter and know I was so lucky to have my mom as long as I a did. Please remember, with your faith, death is never a closed book. Just another chapter that takes us home.
Take care both of you and God bless,

There are no words to express how I feel for what you and Diane have endured.
I hope you find peace and solace....

Linda,
I am so sorry to hear
Linda,
I am so sorry to hear your news but glad you were with your mom. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers and hope that you and Diana will be there for each other as you struggle to go from day to day right now. You must be in such a haze I can't begin to imagine the pain the two of you are feeling.
Lots of hugs,

Dearest Linda and Diana
You are two of the strongest women I know of. You are truly an inspiration to others here.
May I pass on to you my heartfelt sympathies to you both for your recent loss of your mom and grandmother. I know that she and Ed are definitely together sharing their new pain free days in Heaven! One day they will meet my dad as well. And until we meet them again, they will be waiting for us! We all love you both here, even though we have never met in person.
You take care of each other, and please come back soon so you can help others in need here.
Love,
Tina in Va0 -
