I am new to this sight but wanted to voice how wonderful it is to have an Army of people on here supporting each other.. Im 35 and I discovered last year I had stage 3 melanoma and stage 4 colon cancer. After 3 surgeries (liver, colon, appendix, spleen, and lymphnodes) and follow up chemo, i can happily say I am now cancer free. Although the doctors were great I think the biggest contribution to my cure was support! Im in the military and have a huge "military" family along with my immediate family that supported me and filled me with nothing but positive guidance. Best of luck to everyone and know that a yr ago I was told I wouldnt be "cured" and I sit here today CURED!!! Nothing is impossible when you set your mind to it!

    Congrats!
What a horrible situation you were in, Sonja! I'm so happy that you appear to have beating two of the worst versions of the beast! We really need stories like yours here, so thank you so much for sharing.

    Hugs,

May you continue to be in
May you continue to be in remission. I am also stage IV and in remission; I don't consider myself cured as presently there is no cure for cancer, but I know what you are referring to.

Enjoy and thanks for your service in protecting our country!

    correction
your right! Although there is no "cure" for cancer i think more of the fear aspect then the disease. I guess its the fear of it im a cured of... ;) That was the worst part.

    bless you all!!!
