Another Milestone Reached-Yeah!!!

I have good news to share! I had my port removed yesterday after enduring a year of Herceptin-Hooray for Me!!! I am so glad to be done with infusions. I know this is another phase in my recovery, and follow appointments are ongoing, but at least I can say that I am done with chemo and radiation.

I am closing doors and opening new ones! God bless you all. As the saying goes..."Keep on Truck'n"!

    Wow that must be such a relief since I could not imagine having one.

    Congratulations, that is such good news! I didn't have to endure chemo or radiation thankfully so I can't imagine what you've been through, but I'm so glad you're well on the road to recovery! You go girl!!!

    If you don't mind, did your yr of herceptin started after your main chemo, or did the yr started when you first started chemo.

    I had mastectomy, getting chemo, 4 down and 2 to go; and will be getting herceptin alone for a yr.
    I am debating if I should do radiation or not. Pls advise.
