I feel so loved! I do have a couple of ?'s for Jo Jo.
JoJo, I am so glad you wrote. I have been following your posts. I just want to send my deepest condolence to and your family. This must be so very hard for you to deal with.
So you had a double mastectomy also. Mine did not spread to lymph nodes, did yours? I am triple neg. Are you? I know you completed your treatment, did you just have chemo or did you get radiation also? I will have my second chemo on Oct.4th. hopefully I will do as well as I did with the first treatment. Nothing real bad to speak of, side effects were very slight.Radiation is not in the plans for me as far as I know. Did you have chemo for 4 months also?
JoJo I am right there with you! I am "Miss Picky"
Anyway, it's good to talk to you. I was waiting for you to post after the funeral.
Take care of yourself...that's what your cousin would want you to do.
    Hugs,
    Annette

    Your post made

Your post made me laugh tryin to get my attention, i never did anything like this before either till i came here.
I do want to thank you for your kind words...its not easy tryin to pretend nothing is wrong and all the while having a smile on your face but im getting thru it!

Ok I had a double (bilaterial) mastectomy ...i had 12 nodes removed in my left side with only 1 positive...im triple neg. I completed my chemo at the end of April...with no rads...yeah! I had 6 rounds of the same chemo cocktail as you, once every 3 weeeks so ya about 4 months.
I really had a bad chemo experience ...my first one i was hospitalized for 3-4 days of a fever of 103 that they couldnt break. I kept getting sick and just started feeling better the day before my next round would start so i was never feeling good and pain in my bones and joints ....there was so much going on that id be here forever listing them and they even lowered my chemo just to make it tolerable....so chemo was really fun for me. I hope you dont ever have do deal with chemo like that.
But i had my reconstruction done about 2 months ago and im on Tamoxifen for 5 years.

    Yes, I do remember reading
Yes, I do remember reading about your bad experience. That is scary! I am nervous about the 2nd treatment.
So you are triple neg. too. I thought Tamoxifen isn't for us who are T N? You know I have learned so much by reading about everyones different conditions and treatments but I have so much to learn and trying to remember it all isn't always easy.
You are still young, I am 63 and was very active. As soon as this treatment is over I will be back to the way I was.
    Stay well!

    Unfortantly anyone with BC
Unfortantly anyone with BC had a crash course in it...i knew absolutely nothing about it when i was diagnosed...i have learned most of it on here from all these lovely people.
The part with the Tamoxifen and being TN that was going to be brought up at my next onc appointment...so im still learning after a year of this stuff too....and with the chemo brain who can remember anything!
Annette im 42 and being 63 ...your still a pup!!! You have a long life ahead of you yet!
Someday i will be back to normal as long as the side effects will stop surprising me and just leave me alone already! But i like your outlook on the whole thing...just keep up the positive attitude.

Thanks JoJo you have been so
Thanks JoJo you have been so helpful. Yes, we have to have a positive attitude or this will drag us down. I'm off to get blood checked this morning at the hosp.
Will log on later. Since I joined a few days ago I'm glued to this computer.
Keep us posted about what onc. says about Tamoxifen.
    ok I'll be back! :)
