Baseline CAT Scan

Just a short note about the results of my baseline CAT Scan today. My ENT surgeon said that it was clean. She also scoped me and said everything looked like it had healed up fine.

She told me to come back in a couple of months and we'd do our first PET Scan post-treatment. She said that KU Med liked to do their PET Scans about 5 to 6 months out because of the number of false positives they get doing them earlier.

Anyway..... I'm happy tonight and wanted to share. It's a tough road, but it's moments like these that make the treatment worthwhile.

    This is great news. I'm in the same boat...will CAT every three months. My doc will PET scan sometime next year. Same reason...false positives etc.

    BTW, the wife and I will be rocking to RUSH this Saturday night. Earplugs are ready, don't need to add to the ringing!

    About PET scan
    I get my first PET scan on OCT 7 after 2-3 months after my radiation and chemo was finished. So I hope the PET scan comes back clean and I still got to schedule a apt with ENT doctor yet.
