Symptoms of recurrence of Fallopian Tube Cancer?

Anyone out there treated for Fallopian Tube CA who had a recurrence? What were your symptoms, and how were you treated? I had stage IIIb CA in Feb "08, had total hysterectomy, 6 rounds of IP/IV chemo with Carboplatin and Taxotere. CA-125 came down to as low as 3! Now it is creeping up, and noticing some abdominal bloating. Doctors don't seem concerned, but I'm terrified that the CA is coming back. Any info would be helpful!

    Hi, I can understand your concerns, especially after what you have been through. My mother was diagnosed with recurrent fallopian tube cancer in Nov. of 2007 and it recurred in April of 2010. Ironically she has no symptoms, because the cancer was seen on a catscan and thus far is non-symptomatic. She underwent 4 rounds of doxil/carboplatin and the cancer stabilized, but did not go into remission. She underwent a biopsy to confirm the cancer and is going to be treated with gemczar and avastin. I would appreciate anyone's feedback on hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy and if anyone knows a fallopian tube cancer specialist. Although I know they treat it the same, I don't know if a specialist will make a difference in her prognosis. Good luck to you and God Bless. Margaret

    I was dx with fallopian cancer 8/08. I share your concern. My Ca 125 has also been on the rise. I hope all is well with you and there is no recurrence.
