Awesome
What wonderful news and glad that you have came thru surgery great and you have good news also. Just be careful not to think that you don't need follow up chemo as during surgery some cancer cells can escape - bummer. Talk to your oncologist though and make sure you both are on the same page. Juicing, diet is all good but it is NOT a cure for recurrence or for cancer altogether. Glad that you are doing good. Hope upcoming doctor's appointments are great.

Great News
So glad you came through surgery so well, and posting already.
Please, however, talk with your onc, and take into serious consideration into your thinking about not taking chemo. Think about this very hard, cancer cannot always be seen, and you know not what is lurking.
And of course go for the healthy diet plan, but please consider doing the chemo, it's only for a short while.

Same boat, Rita!
Hi Rita! I, too, just had an ovary removed with colorectal cancer spread. A month later, they found a spot on my lung that is more spread. I haven't talked to my onc about what exactly he wants to do, but i've already made it clear that i don't want to do any chemo. I was also a stage III at diagnosis three years ago, and my onc also said that the chemo suppressed the cancer from spreading as quickly. I don't think so as i was juicing and eating raw for many of those months inbetween my last treatment, and the time i got diagnosed, but got off my diet in October of last year. now i am juicing and doing supplements as much as possible. Good luck with that, and please keep me informed about what you're doing. Maybe we can swap recipes, and ideas.
Many hugs, and i hope that spot on your lung turns out to be nothing.

To hear all went well. Please find out about that spot before you choose not to go ahead with chemo!
Hope that all is well

Glad your sugery went well
Great to see you posting already!
Concentrate on recovering from this surgery now. You have plenty of time to kick around whether you want to do more chemo or not later. One step at a time. Give yourself a week or two to celebrate getting the mass out with clean margins! Hooray!0 -
Rita!
So good to hear that you are doing well after the surgery and that everything looks clean.
To chemo or not to chemo ... that is the question ... that only you and your doctor can answer. It's probably a good idea to first see about that tiny spot on your lung. It's always good to have as much information as possible to make the best decision. There isn't any reason why you shouldn't boost your system via supplements, juicing and diet no matter which way you go on the chemo.0
