I would make a LOUSY cannibal!
OK. So human tissue that's been microwaved tastes like sh*t. Maybe it would be better sauteed or fried or baked. Actually, I've tried the baking soda thing and it doesn't help much so baking probably wouldn't help.
So what I've learned is not to convert to cannibalism and not to take any airline trips through the Andes Mountains with a rubgy team in winter. Because if the taste of nuked Bigfuzzydoug neck is THAT gross, I'm quite certain others wouldn't be any better. Although I have to admit that I've always found my wife pretty tasty... but that's what probably got me into this mess to begin with! ;-p

What's worse, being able to taste, but it all tastes like crap, or not being able to taste, and it doesn't matter, LOL...
It'll pass...
Best,
John
Yep, I agree that was some of the nastiest tasting stuff I ever had in my mouth. Well maybe one of my mother-in-law's casseroles. But good thing was, it only lasted a couple of weeks (for me anyways).
Hang in there.

HPV (Human Papiloma Virus) is the most common type of virus found in people. There are over 120 different strains. Herpes, both regular cold sores as well as STD herpes are both forms of HPV. But also are things as common as finger and plantar warts. The high-risk sexually transmitted ones are 16, 18, 31, 33, 35, 39, 45, 51, 52, 56, 58, & 59. Within the past 15 years, researchers have linked the HPV strains #16 and #18 with cervical cancer in women. Only recently within the past 2-5 years, there is hypothesis that HPV-16 and/or 18 may also be linked to head and neck cancers. While it's not fact yet, there is strong evidence.
It doesn't mean that being HPV-16/18 positive means you'll get head and neck cancer. In fact, quite the opposite. It's a very low percentage and even then, not 100% provable that the virus is the cause. But HPV-16/18 is sexually transmitted and yes, oral sex can spread it to a partner and yes, there is mounting evidence that in some cases that it can lead to some cancers.0 -

The Herpes virus 1/2 is not an HPV virus!! These are totally different viruses! Studies have shown however, that having herpes can weaken the immune system and make you more susceptible to the HPV virus. So far though no cancer has been related to the herpes virus, only HPV. And yes there is mounting evidence that HPV is what is causing 5% of the human cancers! I posted and upcoming conference in Nov. in Europe!

Yup, I think they are totally correct with that hypothesis, HPV can definitely be linked to H&N cancer....
