Yes, it's a monarchcoloCan said:Thats a Monarch,
isn't it? Thay congregate on certain trees somewhere in Mexico, don't they?-. almost covering the tree with themselves?
I raise butterflies. A new one emerged today. That one emerged last week. I have 4 more chrysalises to go...
I love watching them go from the egg to a tiny caterpillar the size of an eyelash to a big fat hungry caterpillar several inches long to chrysalis to butterfly - about 4 - 6 weeks over all, 10-15 days in each stage. Metamorphosis is incredible!
Both have been released, and will now migrate down to Mexico where they'll winter over before starting their journeys back north. (You got me started on my butterflies - no stopping me now!)0
