Celebrating with NED

Spent the last three days being poked, proded, and generally run through the mill. Eyes examined on Tuesday, no sign of glaucoma, cataract has not changed. Primary physician on Wednesday, all blood work came out normal, cholesterol 143, kidney and liver functions okay. Today (Thursday) spent two hours with my oncologist, and all is well. Now on six month schedule. I had been experiencing some pain in my back and hip, and she checked it out to discover it is muscular and not bone cancer. (Wish everyone could have been there when she hopped up on the bed and proceeded to show me the correct exercise to do to get the hip muscle stretched. She put her arse right in my husband's face, and it was most commical to watch him watch her.) Wish I had a video of that. Anyway, NED it is, and no doctors for another six months. I'm off to celebrate....Hugs, Judy

    So happy to hear your great news. YAY!!!!!! It was worth being poked, proded & run through the mill, once you got the NED news! I am sooooo happy for you.     I will try to post the leaflets the onc gave me for exercise on my photos page so you guys can see what we saw. My husband is still laughing, but he will probably laugh harder when he sees me try to do these exercises. This is such a strange disease, but there is humor everywhere. We were just witness to it firsthand yesterday. Will try to post now. Enjoy! Judy

    Great news, Judy. Enjoy these months--doctor-free. You're right--I've found too that humor is everywhere and it's great to be able to laugh at something silly every day.

    Next visit / check up -- 6 months away .. Now that is a
    vacation .. Did I mention all the time you have to dance with NED and those new exercises? Funny how life consently revolves ---
