hair
don't panic, same thing happened to me. I was shocked because they said people normally do not lose hair on folfox....yikes, all came out pretty fast, I thought it might thin, but no, fell out in clumps.....but it does come back and sometimes better than ever, mine had better texture and really thick. It just shocks you at first and then you'll adjust to your new look..my taste buds returned the day my hair fell out, so just ate to make myself feel better...this is a minor bump in the road....and hopefully the biggest bump. I know this is a bit of a shock, but it definitely is not "digusting". It is a new temporary look. I lost most of my hair @ one point but it has mostly grown back (it's just short). At first when I began to lose my hair I was pretty upset but @ a certain point I took charge + asked my daughter to cut back the hair that was left. Since then I haven't really looked back - @ first I wore scarves + now I just go without anything on my head but my short hair. Here in North America, many men choose to shave their heads. One of my nephews, he is in his twenties, has shaved his head for several years now. Eric38 actually reminds me of him - they have a similar look. My nephew had gorgeous thick curly hair, + I think my Mom could not believe he would choose to shave off this lovely hair! I hope you will adjust well to the new "look" you will have for a while. All the best to you!0 -
Have fun
Try to have fun with it. I know it's hard but try to make the best of what chemo has to offer. Got any pics?
Life is funny sometimes

distressing
I am sure it is a bit depressing and disgusting. But I like your theory that it might be a sign that the chemo is working really really well!
As I recall, you are on FOLFIRI. May I ask how many cycles you've done now?
I'm on Xeliri -- I'm having fairly dramatic hair thinning but haven't lost it all yet. But I think I only have a week or two longer. (I'm in 'comb-over' mode now!). I'm thinking of doing completely bald, heavy eyeline then learning how to apply false eyelashes. But probably not such a good look for you, my dear!
Hang in there -- it's working!!
