I didn’t want to say anything but I went and seen my new onc last week. I told her about the leg pain I’ve been having. It’s like a dull toothache kind of pain I told he and it’s almost everyday. Been having it since chemo treatment. Well, NOW I have a bone scan next week. She said that maybe something made my cancer go into my bone. GREAT!!! NOT THE ANSWER I WAS LOOKING FOR!! I haven’t told the wife and kids yet I want them to enjoy the holiday weekend. I’ll let everybody know how it goes.

I love ya !!

Brooks

    Scan
Just thinking that the chemo has gotten you down and nothing is really wrong. Feeling achy after chemo and surgery is really common. It's good that you are having the scan, but probably and hoping that it will be nothing. Chemo does bad things to all. Hoping all goes well.

    Hey Brooks!
I am thinking she will eliminate the possibility of bone mets with the scan. I guess it is better to be checked + be free of it then to not be checked + find out later you should have been. Good luck with the scan + we are here for you.

    Hoping for best
    Dear Brooks,

Hoping that your doc is just being over cautious with the bone scan.

Take care and sending you lots of good vibes for great results!

    rule it out
    Hi Brooks,

Sorry to hear this. But, like others, I hope it's a case of being careful and cautious -- and that the scan will result in you being able to RULE OUT bone met. I am sure the pain is very frustrating -- I hope that you get pain resolution soon, too.

    Best wishes

    This sucks
Hey Brooks - Leg pain is common, but it's good to be cautious. The scan will rule out cancer so you won't have to worry about it.

You have been complaining about leg pain for a while now. Glad you are getting it checked out. Wishing you nothing but the very best outcome with the scan.

I had real nasty leg pain at night
I had real nasty leg pain at night. It was from the chemo/rad. Good to get it checked out. My bet is they find nothing. I think I have figured out a way to capture the gas from the bag. Then I am going to light it off.

    Aches and Pains
    Hi Brooks,

(my computer is missing the letter between E and G so I am going to use # in its place)

I have been done with chemo #or 2 years now and am le#t with bone pain also. I had a bone scan last month and it came back negative #or cancer. Chemo has de#inately changed my body (and brain HE HE) My bones are so sore. It is very pain#ul i# I hit a bone or even touch them. My ribs are very sore even to touch. My hands, arms, legs and #eet throb and #eel like needles pricking them, also loss o# #eeling. I am de#inately di##erent but happy happy happy to be here. I just have to learn to live with it. I also was concerned that the cancer had spread to my bones so the bone scan reassured me. Praying that your scan comes back clear. All these aches and pains....nobody really told us about. Try not to stress (easier said than done).

    Big Hugs and Prayers,

    Debbie

    Hope it's nothing
    Brooks,

Better to err on the cautious side, hope it's just general aches and pain from chemo and such. I know I am having a terrible time with neuropathy in my hands and feet. Really not good when you are a machinist like me. On my feet all day and using the hands constantly, just having to slow down and concentrate more. I know about the worry though, had a colonosopy Friday and they had to biopsy two small polyps near the rectal area. These are new but, I'm hoping nothing. Does have me concerned for sure.

Sorry you have to go through
Sorry you have to go through one more test, but it will be good to at least have that answered. When I told my onc I was having headache, more then the norm, I thought he would say it was just chemo too! I have since found out just how cautious He is, I ended up having an MRI! Nothing new with my brain!! I'm glad you have an onc that is't just brushing you off! Jean

    Brooks,

I'm really praying this is just a side effect from treatment. No cancer!

Ditto Brooks... I'm really hoping that this is a result from the chemo/radiation.
