Go to Head & Neck Discussion Board
I found a posting on the above site. A lot of responses on the one posting. Some good and some bad. I had Googled cancer treatment centers of america location and somehow I ended up on the Head & Neck Discussion Board of Cancer Survivors Network.

CTCA
I have nothing but good things to say about them. I was horribly mis-diagnosed by my first surgeon, and in my fear I contacted CTCA. The only expense I had through the entire thing was a few supplements. They paid for my flight, the limo from the airport in Chicago to Zion, where the center is. Which center you go to depends on your insurance. From the moment you walk in the door, you are surrounded by loving, caring people. There was never a time when I was afraid, because someone is always close by if you need them. It took only 2 days to run 5 tests, the most comprehensive I could imagine. On the third day I had all my results. Fortunately for me, the cancer had not spread past my breast and lymph nodes. It was a hard decision, because my husband was not with me, but I stayed the full week and had a mastectomy there. That is how much faith I had in them. Eventually I decided to have my treatments locally. I was afraid of flying up there, and maybe being too sick to fly home. However, I now have a friend who lives only a few miles from me who did all her treatments that way, and it worked out fine for her. I would do it all again if necessary. They provide so much more than cancer "treatment". I would be happy to try and answer any other questions you might have.
Good luck and may God bless you.

You see all the commercials saying how they saved someone's life but I have a friends whose Mother went to them. They sent her home saying she was cancer free. 3 weeks later she was still feeling bad and went to her local Dr. Her cancer was still there and she was stage 4 and died 6 weeks later.0

Cancer treatment centers
I would have loved to go but they don't accept HMO. I like the whole person treatment. On the other hand I don't do well away from home. I was able to be home after every chemo and spent only one night in the hospital for mastectomy.Understand though that on their commercials they feature known surviors as if they are currently battling disease. If you've seen the lady with inflammatory breast cancer go to their website.she's several or more years ago diacnosed.0 -
My Very Good Friend
was treated at the facility I believe in Zion?, IL. Right outside of Chicago. She had a farely good experience with them after a terrible one at another hospital. They kept her going for 6 years as her cancer had spread to her bones, lungs and then her brain. She lost her battle May 12, 2008. But she felt strongly that they helped her fight the good fight as long as she could.
They do standard treatment along with nutritional and spiritual support.
