My situation! only positive coments allowed LOL!
9 rounds folfox + trial ; result all 6 gone! and 50% shrink on the big one!.
December 09 surgery 75 % liver removed and colectomy same time,all lymph nodes removed clear ! No evidences of disease in further controls, Labs every 15 days and scan every 2 months. No further chemo, although we tried, due to toxicity of chemo to the liver.
August 10: scan shows 2 cm met on liver and 7 lymph nodes affected in retroperitoneal link (locals but it seems they use not to be removed while surgery due difficult and risky location).
Currently on Folfiri +avastin ( liver is accepting the chemo unusually good as per my onc words ) aside that no diharrea, vomits ,tiredness or so
thanks God! .Discussing to start in a few weeks with RFA or Radiotherapy to smash nodes , different choices here , but onc prefers radiotherapy due good results with others in lynph nodes! Not very worried about liver, they say is small and well placed , no problem as per their opinions , Surgeon say the same, easy to remove but after smashed lynph nodes!
Recent Pet does not shows any other mets beside the ones already commented.
l will appreciate your truly comments about the procedure we are following , and positive coments and testimonials in similar situations!
As usual those who had understand this post deserve an award!

I don't know anything about RFA etc. etc but this I DO know...You Pepe are one big ray of sunshine to this board and I need you and we ALL need your positive attitude to help us along our journey.Thank you Pepe!

We should all get a degree in medicine for surviving cancer, We know sometimes more then our docs and nurceing staff.
Time before last when i was in the hospital, there was students working the floor, and they had all conviened in my room to witness a proceedure. the charge nurse asked me to explain what i was here for and what she was about todo, my explaination was text book and i know i blew them away with my understanding of it.
As far your proceedure, i have not had it done, but i do know it is really important to get any RfA done by top professional surgeons who specalize in it.
I thought of having it done and then decided against for reason.
But I am sure with luck you will find the experience sucessful

The best hepatic surgeon in Spain First to do a transplant with alive donor here in Spain and only 1 month later than first one ever in the world,
is my wife's first cousin.
Will he be lying me???? l didn't though about before!

Did RFA on a huge liver met I had. Was successfully, but we had to do CyberKnife on top of it to eradicate the tumor completely on a local level.
The place fiduciary beads in and around the tumor and the radiation onc and your surgeon draw up the X's and O's gameplan and that gets programmed into the computer. It's ususally between 3-5 treatments. You are also outfitted with a special vest that connects to the CyberKnife that adjusts for your breathing in and out - that way the program stays on target and does not hit any tissue it's not supposed to.
It's definitely a good stragegy to employ:)

all Europe? no more than 30 ! when you have hundreds fuc.....ing European EMEA did not approved it until recently!.
3 of them in Spain,these are the good and bad things to have completely free health care in Europe!.
Beside that no complains against our social security! Actually l have my own prived enssurance , It includes md Anderson in Madrid ,
but had chosen puplic health care, just to give you an idea my hospital makes 170 transplants of liver a year! and is only one of the 8 public huge hospitals in Barcelona where are used to do it (high volume centers ) ! lt gives you confidence man! ,such experience in transplants is due that,
Spain is the country with more donors in the world , in relative figures of course, we are quite big for Europe but a dwarf compared to the US.

Puedo entender su ingles bien; a ver si se puede entender mi español! Que bueno que esta en Barcelona con tanto cantidad de tratimeintos como cyberknife. No he tenido experiencia con esto pero creo es un buen plan. Mucha suerte amigo!

good Spanish I understand everything, just one suggestion in Spanish of Spain try to use the pronoun TU instead of SU this is very south American or Mex , we only use su in case we try to be extremely respectful ,but for informal conversations we only use tu ,unless you are very old ,prime minister or the King of Spain ,I'm not both three!
